Dr. Patricia Lingley-Pottie has over 18 years of experience overseeing all operations of IRIS. She is a Research Scientist at the IWK Health Centre and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University, she conducts clinical research in the area of distance interventions (behaviour, anxiety, nocturnal enuresis, recurrent pain; FASD; post-partum depression). Dr. Pottie is co-founder of the Strongest Families Institute. The aim of the Strongest Families system is to provide cost-effective, accessible programs designed to remove barriers to care and improve health outcomes.
Dr. Patrick McGrath is the visionary behind IRIS and remains involved in a volunteer capacity as a consultant. Pat is Vice President of Research, Innovation and Knowledge Translation for the IWK Health Centre and the Nova Scotia Health Authority, a Canada Research Chair and Professor of Science, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University, as well as member of the Royal Society of Canada and the Academy of Health Sciences of Canada. Renowned trailblazer in the field of distance treatment, he helps to guide IRIS, continually focusing on being innovative and effective.
Jillian Kennedy, IRIS and Program Director, brings over 12 years of experience in eHealth systems and research, and skills in leadership and project management.
Casey Meijer, IRIS Lead Programmer, has extensive experience in maintaining and developing features for IRIS. Casey is passionate about simplifying complex computer applications to provide real value and an affordable technological edge that is often inaccessible for community groups, not-for-profits, and small businesses. IRIS is the perfect opportunity to explore scalable, robust, but lightweight systems that serve markets that are often left behind. Casey is excited to maintain and develop IRIS into an industry leader and a model for future system innovations.
Michael Cameron, IRIS Lead/Analyst, has a B.Sc. in Psychology as well as over 6 years of experience in IRIS content management. He is extremely dedicated to the continued advancement of IRIS as a virtual health information platform.
